The 50-50 Plan On A 2-2-3 Schedule

The organization of this plan is optimal for parents and kids who have a set schedule for each day of the week.

It presents equal timesharing and allows for each parent to have an equal amount of contact with the school. Both parents and the child get to run their lives the same way on the same days of the week for every week.

Imagine that you pay for your child’s after-school art classes that occur every Monday and Tuesday evening. Under this plan, your child stays with you every Monday and Tuesday evening so that you can reliably transport your child to the art classes. You need a parenting plan that reflects this consistency so that your child know you will always be there on Monday and Tuesday for art classes. If your child enjoys extracurricular activities, this schedule may be ideal.

Imagine another scenario: let’s say you are going to night school to complete a college degree. Your courses meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays without alteration. Your parenting plan can ensure that you are always available on these days without any changes.

Each parent has the child on the same schedule every week.
